More about: Grant from the ‘Culture without barriers’ programme

We are happy to announce that the Army Museum has received a grant of 77,900 PLN in the ‘Culture without barriers’ project, implemented as part of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020.

For the purposes of the above action, the Museum staff will be trained and there will be meetings with representatives of communities with special needs. Accessibility tools will be implemented that will make a lasting contribution to improving the accessibility of the facility. Among other things, a tyfloplan dedicated to visually impaired visitors and a portable FM system and induction loop for hearing impaired visitors will be installed at the Museum headquarters. A special place in the project will be given to ensuring accessibility for people in the area of understanding, including children and young people with intellectual disabilities and autism. With a view to working with these audiences, the project authors have planned to purchase an alternative communication programme and to make thematic sensory boards.

Programme implementation date: July 2022 – June 2023
