We invite you to visit the exhibition ‘Za mundurem panny sznurem…’. The exhibition is presented in the Museum building (7 Kilińskiego Street) until the middle of May this year.
In the inter-war period, the Polish military uniform was one of the symbols of the long-awaited freedom; it was also a marker of honour, good manners and social standing. Officers were the elite of society and were held to high standards of behaviour, neatness of appearance or personal culture.

The exhibition has been prepared from the collections of the Army Museum in Białystok and the Naval Museum in Gdynia, The Central Military Archives in Warsaw, The Central Military Library in Warsaw and private collectors

We invite you to participate in activities prepared by the Army Museum in Białystok on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of regaining independence by the city. The schedule includes, the opening of a temporary exhibition presenting the uniforms of Polish soldiers in the inter-war period combined with a fashion happening, a curator’s story about the art installation “1919”, workshops for kids, flag distribution and a historical walk.

From February 14th this year, Bialystok residents can obtain a one-day magazine under the title “Victory Will Be Your Reward” at the Museum building (7 Kilińskiego Street). The occasional magazine was prepared by the staff of the Military History Research Center on the 80th anniversary of the formation of The Home Army.

In addition to historical text on The Home Army, readers will find archival photographs of The Home Army soldiers colored by M. Kaczmarek, reproductions of documents and photos of exhibits from the Museum’s collection.
