About the Project

In 2024, the Army Museum in Bialystok implemented a project aimed at implementing new technological solutions into the educational activities of the institution. The implementation of the project entitled ‘Virtual Education at the Army Museum in Białystok’ was made possible thanks to support from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Programme.

The essence of the project was a multi-level process of building the competencies of the Museum team in presenting museum objects using Internet tools. Its elements were: a training cycle, application of new knowledge in the process of designing and testing workshops, evaluation and implementation of the developed solutions into the permanent offer.

The main project activity was historical workshops for young people from Bialystok and the region. The theme of these meetings was the history of soldiers from the Podlasie region during the defensive battles of September 1939. Thanks to 3D visualisations of museum objects and interactive exercises, participants not only gained new knowledge of local history, but also learned how to use new technologies in a creative way. The workshops were conducted in an offline format at the headquarters of the Army Museum, as well as online for an audience from the Podlaskie Voivodeship.

The workshops continue to be implemented as part of the permanent educational offer of the Army Museum in Bialystok.
